Fluxmedia is developing new working methodologies and practices combining digital microscopy and video animation to explore the liminal space between living and undead.
Working with Brandon Ballengee, Fluxmedia researchers Alison Loader and Tagny Duff are imaging stained frog specimens with an inverted tissue culture microscope, HD video camera, and various software programs (including Final Cut Pro, and Dragon). This collaboration aims to further the development of experimental video, (re) animation and still imaging of organisms at the microscopic level.
